Room Attendant

The Role

Our superb Room Attendants are hands on, friendly and professional individuals who are ready to go the extra mile in a busy hospitality environment. The cleanliness of our hotel bedrooms and public areas is enormously important to us and our guests so our Housekeeping teams is key to the success of the Pendulum Hotel and Manchester Conference Centre. As a Housekeeping Assistant you’ll be tasked with cleaning and presenting our bedrooms to a high standard, including changing linens, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces and all public areas.

Who You’ll Be

You’ll be a team player with lots of energy. You will also communicate with hotel guests and therefore you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a stickler for detail, well organised and with good time management skills, you can meet deadlines and work efficiently to get jobs done. You’ll also need to be:

·Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced and challenging environment, cleaning guest rooms and public areas to a high standard and maintaining stock levels where needed.

·Positive and take great pride in your work with perfectionism being your most well-known trait.

·Respectful of other people’s belongings as you carry out your duties including servicing rooms during their stay.

·Observant and aware of safety procedures and able to use your initiative

·Flexible. You will fully flexible and comfortable with early starts, weekends and the flexibility required for a zero-hour contract

Experience of cleaning preferable though experience is not essential as there will be training on the job for all new staff.

Food & Beverage Assistant

The Role

Our exceptional Food & Beverage Operations Assistants are hands on, friendly and professional individuals who are ready to be challenged in a busy hospitality environment, upholding the high standards our customers have come to expect from the Pendulum Hotel and Manchester Conference Centre.

Who You’ll Be

You may be assisting with breakfast for Hotel guests, meeting and greeting guests in the role of Host, set-up of conference rooms for corporate events or striving to ensure that a Bride and Groom enjoy their special day, and therefore you must have ability to multi-task at the same time as delivering exceptional customer service. You will also need to:

·Have previous experience working in a customer service role

·Be friendly and positive and willing to go the extra mile for our guests

·Have a good eye for detail

·Be willing to work as part of a team, assisting to ensure all tasks are completed and engaging in constant communication with Team Leaders and Supervisors, which is crucial to ensuring events run flawlessly

·Be observant and aware of safety procedures and able to use your initiative

·Have some AV experience (desired but not essential)
