Manchester offers many choices for the tourist, the shopper, visitors and locals who are looking for something different. The city centre area has many different shopping venues, clubs, restaurants, museums, entertainment and of course two of the most famous football teams in the UK. The trains system, Manchester Metrolink tram system and the city’s buses also make it easy to get around the city and visit. Shopping in Manchester City Centre
A shoppers delight! From hand crafted specialty items for children and adults alike, to high end goods to the fantastic department stores and malls, there is something for everyone in the city. Primark, HSM, Top Shop, Hugo Boss, ZuZu Couture and many more can be found in the area. Armani has two stores on King Street.
Clubs, Dining, & Entertainment
At the end of the day after work or shopping, relax in one of the small quaint bars or restaurants, or visit one of the night clubs in the area.
If you are staying at the Pendulum Hotel, you will be within a very short distance of several clubs that many will find entertaining. These include:

Take in a Football Game
Plan ahead and attend a home game with Manchester United or Manchester city football clubs. On game day it can be difficult to score tickets, however with a little planning you can attend one of the games and spend the evening at the Pendulum Hotel. There are also tours that can be taken to both stadiums.
Many enjoy the Old Trafford stadium tour and a visit to the Manchester United museum and shop. The Etihad Stadium tour, home to Manchester City football club, is also a very interesting tour to consider. Manchester City FC is now the most valuable club in the world.
Art & Music
There is so much to see and experience in Manchester Town Centre that you will need to make many trips into the city. Visit the Museum of Science and Industry, the Manchester Museum or the Manchester Cathedral or the Manchester town hall if you are interested in Victorian architecture.
Galleries include: Whitworth Art Gallery on Oxford Road and the Manchester Art Galley on the corner of Mosley Street.

Getting Around Manchester City Centre
Many people come by car and park in one of the many parking lots around the city. Many also drive to a train station and take the train or Metrolink tram to Piccadilly train station.
Piccadilly station is within walking distance of the Pendulum Hotel and many of the venues mentioned in here. The city bus system can be used to get around the city as well.
With so much to do in the Manchester town centre area many visitors will stay several days or come back several times a month to visit some of the venues that they missed the first time around. Shopping, dining, entertainment etc. are all available to visitors to Manchester city centre.
